I have enjoyed this series a lot. This series does deal with a lot of difficult topics that made it hard to read at times but for the most part Jenna did a good job of dealing with each of those situations. After reading all 3 books in the series, I will say that this series as a whole in my opinion is not for anyone under 17. That being said each parent makes their own decisions and judgements. That is just my recommendation for this series. Read below to see my review.

Jenna BrandtBiography

My name is Jenna Brandt and I am a Christian historical fiction author and my books span from the Victorian to Western eras with elements of romance, suspense and faith. You can catch up and check me out on my website any time at www.jennabrandt.com

I have been an avid reader since I could hold a book and started writing stories almost as early. I have been published in several newspapers as well as edited for multiple papers. I graduated with my Bachelor of Arts in English from Bethany College and was the Editor-in-Chief of my college newspaper. I'm an on-going contributor for The Mighty Website and my first Blog was published on Yahoo Parenting and The Grief Toolbox as well as featured on the ABC News and Good Morning America websites.

Writing is my passion but I also enjoy cooking, watching movies, reading, engaging in social media and spending time with my three young daughters and husband where we live in the Central Valley of California. I am also active in my local church where I volunteer on their first impressions team as well as write features for the church’s creative team.

My Thoughts...
I have very much enjoyed this series. It is captivating and heartbreaking. It's also a story of true redemption through Jesus. I will admit this last book in the series was very hard to read. The things that the character went through was devastating. I can't imagine going through these things and it broke my heart to read it even though it was fiction. Despite the delicate and very harsh subject matter, I couldn't put the book down. I read it in two days. The way that Jenna wrapped up this story was excellent. I will again mention as I have in each of my other reviews of the series, this series is really not meant for children. This particular book in the series bumps the age for me to 17. Keep this in mind if this book is a gift for someone. This series is an excellent read and I can recommend it for adults only. I received this book from the author for free. A positive review was not required. All opinions are my own.
