A Love So True by Melissa Jagears

Evelyn Wisely has a heart for the orphans of Teaville and works at a local mansion that rescues children out of the town's red-light district and gives them a place to live. But her desire to help isn't limited to orphans. The owner of the mansion, Nicholas Lowe, is willing to help her try to get the women working in prostitution out of the district as well--if she can gain the cooperation and support of local businessmen to go against the rest of the community.

David Kingsman has recently arrived in Teaville from Kansas City to help with one of his father's companies in town. I really enjoyed the first book in this series. It was emotional and romantic and had a great message this one, as you'll read in my review, didn't quite hit me in my heart like the first one did. I love Melissa's writing and I enjoyed this book but it didn't give me all the feels that I got with the 2 previous books I read by her.

My Thoughts

I was excited to get this book because I read the first one in the series and loved it. This one however didn't quite give me the same feelings as the first one. I enjoyed the characters. I liked the romance. My main problem with this book was the length. It felt drawn out. I did enjoy the ending and how she wrapped it up. Overall this was a good book it just wasn't as good as the first one for me. I would still recommend it to others and I will read the next in the series.
