God's Crime Scene for Kids by J.Warner Wallace, Susie Wallace and Rob Suggs

Hone your reasoning skills as you investigate evidence in the universe to determine the most reasonable cause for everything we see in creation.
In this companion to Cold-Case Christianity for Kids, Jason uncovers a mystery in his grandmother's attic. He and his friends, Hannah, Daniel and Jasmine, enlist the help of Detective Jeffries at the Jr. Detective's Academy. Along the way, they develop the skills needed to investigate the mystery and the evidence of God's existence. The cadets learn logical-thinking skills as they examine the contents of a mysterious box and the vast universe.
In God's Crime Scene for Kids, real-life detective J. Warner Wallace shows kids ages 8 to 12 what skills are needed to solve Jason's mystery, and at the same time looks at evidence in the universe that demonstrates God is the creator. Ultimately, kids will learn how to make their own case for God's existence.

Patterns of Evidence:Exodus: A documentary by Timothy Mahoney

Patterns of Evidence: ExodusPatterns of Evidence: The Exodus is an award-winning documentary by filmmaker Timothy Mahoney that chronicles an in-depth archaeological investigation in Egypt as his team attempts to corroborate the biblical text. The film explores one fundamental question: Is there any evidence that the Exodus story actually happened? Twelve years in the making, this provocative documentary reveals new or rarely seen evidence regarding the Israelites descent into slavery, their Exodus from Egypt and their ultimate conquest of the Promised Land. Although many scholars and archaeologists deny the validity of the Exodus story for lack of proof, Patterns of Evidence: The Exodus builds a case that sheds new light on the story

Someone has poisoned Dr. Kelly Middlesworth—a researcher on the life and ministry of 17th-century’s revered “Blue Nun”—and a set of irreplaceable historic documents have disappeared before they could even be examined.
When all evidence seems to point to the victim’s brother, Sister Eve sets out to expose the killer and learn the explosive truth those missing manuscripts might contain.
Chasing a killer is dangerous work, and as her two worlds collide, Sister Eve may need some heavenly help simply to survive.

Deathwatch by V.B. Tenery

Finding a killer in the middle of a blitz is murder. When a cryptanalyst in Britain’s top secret Code and Cyber School is murdered, alarms sound in the highest echelons of Parliament. Was it merely a lover’s quarrel that ended her life, or was she killed after telling the Germans everything they wanted to know? That’s what MI6 Agent, Commander Grey Hamilton must find out. He is joined in the chase by an old university friend from Scotland Yard, and a young American genius who has been singled out by the killer as his next victim. As the Luftwaffe escalates its reign of terror over London, the unlikely team dodges bombs while searching the Underground and London docks knowing failure is not an option. The lives of English soldiers and perhaps the fate of the British Empire itself, is at stake.

The Loyal Heart by Shelley Shephard Gray

Robert came to Galveston to fulfill his promise to a dying man and look after his widow. He didn’t expect to find love in the unlikeliest of places.
Robert Truax, former Second Lieutenant and Confederate officer in the Civil War, made a promise to his comrade Phillip Markham. If anything happened to Phillip, Robert would look after his beloved wife, Miranda. She was his life, his world, his everything.
After the war, Robert is left to pick up the pieces and fulfill his pact. When he arrives at Miranda’s home in Galveston, Texas, things are worse than he imagined. Phillip’s name has been dragged through the mud, everyone in town believes him to be a traitor, and his widow is treated as an outcast. Even more disturbing is her emotional well-being. Miranda seems hopeless, lost, and so very alone.
Robert had thought his duty would be simple. He would help Miranda as quickly as possible in order to honor a promise. But the moment Robert laid eyes on her, his plans changed. He’s mesmerized by her beauty and yearns to help her in any way he can.
He makes it his duty to protect Miranda, turn her reputation around, and to find some way to help her smile again. But it doesn’t prove to be an easy task—Robert knows something about
Phillip that could shake Miranda to the core and alter her view of the man she thought she knew so well.

The One True Love of Alice-Ann by Eva Marie Everson

Living in rural Georgia in 1941, sixteen-year-old Alice-Ann has her heart set on her brother’s friend Mack; despite their five-year age gap, Alice-Ann knows she can make Mack see her for the woman she’ll become. But when they receive news of the attack on Pearl Harbor and Mack decides to enlist, Alice-Ann realizes she must declare her love before he leaves.

Though promising to write, Mack leaves without confirmation that her love is returned. But Alice-Ann is determined to wear the wedding dress her maiden aunt never had a chance to wear―having lost her fiancé in the Great War. As their correspondence continues over the next three years, Mack and Alice-Ann are drawn closer together. But then Mack’s letters cease altogether, leaving Alice-Ann to fear history repeating itself.

Dreading the war will leave her with a beautiful dress and no happily ever after, Alice-Ann fills her days with work and caring for her best friend’s war-torn brother, Carlton. As time passes and their friendship develops into something more, Alice-Ann wonders if she’ll ever be prepared to say good-bye to her one true love and embrace the future God has in store with a newfound love. Or will a sudden call from overseas change everything?

Top Ten Tuesday--Top Ten Reasons to Read My Blog

Top Ten Tuesday!!

So earlier this year I tried out the Top Ten Tuesday thing and I liked it. So starting today, since it's the start of a new school year for us, I'm going to do Top Ten Tuesday every week. Barring no books are due for review on a Tuesday.
Also for your avid reader pleasure I will be doing Throwback Thursday. Throwback Thursday will consist of books at least 3 years old that I have either read before or might be new to me. They will include reviews as well as where to purchase them (if purchasing them is available.) I thought this would be a fun way to add something different to my blog as well as give me a good excuse to read all those books in my bookcase that I keep telling myself I'm gonna read again HA! Throwback Thursday will be whenever the mood strikes me. Could be every week, could be every other week, whenever the mood strikes me.

So here goes nothing........

Top Ten Reasons to Read My Blog

10. Book Reviews
I happen to love reading books. I have only been reviewing for a little over two years, but I love it. In that two years time I have learned a lot from other bloggers and even taken a class on blogging. I have read a ton of amazing authors I wouldn't have had the opportunity to read had it not been for reviewing. So before you make out that new TBR list come by and check out my reviews!

9. I'm An Honest Reviewer
I know, more about reviewing but I just wanted to say, you don't have to worry about me leading you astray on books that I have read. You will always get my honest and fair opinion.

8. Real Life
Occasionally I'll have some real life posts that prove I'm human and that (hopefully) give encouragement for other moms/women.

7. Giveaways
Periodically I'll be doing giveaways. They may be from a blog tour I'm on or a just because from me. Sign up for my emails so you don't miss out.

6. Clean Reading
No matter what I am writing on my blog, or what book I might be reviewing, I'll always be clean and reader friendly. The only time that you might have to be careful is if I've found something in a book I need to warn you about. But I will always be discreet.

5. I'm Not An Over Poster
Horrible grammar I'm sure, but you know what I'm talking about. Those blogs that send 5 emails everyday. whether they have five different reviews or they send you the same one over and over. I can promise I'm here enough for you to notice me but I won't overload you mailbox.

4. Variety
More and more I am trying to review lots of different kinds of books. While I do try not to get books in genres I know I don't usually like, I am trying to branch out a little when I see one that grabs me. There are also reviews on children's books, devotional/Bible study books and non-fiction. Variety is the spice of life right?

3. Connection
I love connecting with my readers. I'd like to get to know you better. I would also like for you to know me better. Maybe there will be a time in the near future when I can learn more about you.

2. Fun
I always like to make sure my readers are having a good time. Feel free to let me know how I can make my blog more fun and exciting.

1. Support
The number one reason for reading my blog is to support me and authors alike. You support me by reading and commenting. The more you show interest, the more authors see my influence. By doing this you may also see an author or book you might like and buy their work, thus supporting the authors I review.

Thanks for reading today's Top Ten Tuesday!
Comment below what you like about my blog. Feel free to take a look around too.
