Thirteen years ago, Natalie lost a part of herself when her twin sister died. Will traveling back to the family winery finally put the memory to rest, or will it completely destroy her?
When Natalie Mitchell learns her beloved grandfather has had a heart attack, she’s forced to return to their family-owned winery in Sonoma, something she never intended to do. She’s avoided her grandparents’ sprawling home and all its memories since the summer her sister died—the awful summer Natalie’s nightmares began. But the winery is failing, and Natalie’s father wants her to shut it down. As the majority shareholder, she has the power to do so.
And Natalie never says no to her father.
Tanner Collins, the vintner on Maoilios, is trying to salvage a bad season and put the Mitchell family’s winery back in business. When Natalie shows up, Tanner sees his future about to be crushed. He knows Natalie intends to close the gates, and he's determined to convince her otherwise. But the Natalie he remembers from childhood is long gone, and he’s not so sure he likes the woman she’s become. Still, the haunted look she wears hints at secrets he wants to unearth. He soon discovers that on the night her sister died, the real Natalie died too. And Tanner must do whatever it takes to resurrect her.
But finding freedom from the past means facing it. For both of them.

It is becoming harder and harder to keep track of all of my favorite authors with so many new ones I've read getting put on the list. Catherine is no exception. She has now been added to my all time favorites list. This book made me feel things I didn't know I could feel and made me want to read everything Catherine has ever written. And that's how she ended up as the newest member on my list.
My Thoughts.....
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It is emotional and heart breaking in places but then it is also fun and witty in others. This book can make you cry and smile in the very same chapter. It touched my heart deeply. I felt very drawn to the character of Natalie. I felt her pain and her worries. I somehow knew how she felt, even without having experienced what she had. Each character in this book is very well developed and thought out. I absolutely loved the setting of the vineyard/California. Catherine made it sound like such a beautiful and enchanting place. The only thing I didn't like about the book was that it had to end! I am so excited to begin reading other books by Catherine. I highly recommend this book, especially if you are a fan of Rachel Hauck. I received this book from the publisher for free. A positive review was not required. All opinions are my own.
