But life in Austin isn’t all sweet tea and breakfast tacos. Their unusual living situation is challenging and unspoken words begin to fester between Jane and Celia. When Jane meets and falls for up-and-coming musician Sean Willis, the chasm grows deeper.
While Sean seems to charm everyone in his path, one person is immune – retired Marine Captain Callum Beckett. Callum never meant to leave the military, but the twin losses of his father and his left leg have returned him to the place he least expected—Texas.
In this modern spin on the Austen classic, Sense and Sensibility, the Woodward sisters must contend with new ingredients in unfamiliar kitchens, a dash of heartbreak, and the fragile hope that maybe home isn't so far away.

About the Author
Ok Y'all I know I have been saying this a lot lately, but I loved this book. I'm gonna come clean and tell you I have not read anything by Jane Austen so the similarities that may or may not be there didn't do anything for me. I keep telling myself that I will pick up Pride and Prejudice or Emma and read it but so far I haven't. But I must say whether you have read Jane Austen or not you are going to love this book. Read on and see what I thought.
My Thoughts......
I am in love. I read this book in two days and I loved it! I wanted more. I kept hoping for a sequel only to realize I wouldn't get one. The writing is so witty and fun! There were times when I found myself laughing out loud and I couldn't tell you the last time I did that reading a book. I found the character of Jane to be refreshing and quirky and by far one of my most favorite characters to date. And of course who doesn't love Texas! This story is the perfect blend of humor, romance, and fun. It's a perfect beach read, or summer afternoon read. I cannot wait to get my hands on another of Hillary's books and I hope she does another retelling because this one was fabulous! I received this book for free from the author. A positive review was not required. All opinions are my own.
