Prayer Works by Alex Kendrick, Stephen Kendrick with Amy Parker--- GIVEAWAY

What's Your Strategy?

As kids grow, their prayer lives need to grow too—but how? Stephen Kendrick and Alex Kendrick offer a strategy that kids can use to figure out how prayer works and just how powerful it is. Lots of great explanation is combined with fun activities, illustrations, and journaling prompts to get kids thinking and praying.
This companion book to the movie War Room contains 32 perforated journal pages kids can use to write specific prayers and then post them on the walls in their prayer room—just like the characters in the movie. Topics include:
What is prayer?
Why should I pray?
Where do I pray?
Is there a wrong way to pray?
What should I pray for?
Does God really hear me?

Take a look at my reviews for War Room and Fervent

My Thoughts
I was so excited to be able to get this book for my two girls. I so much enjoyed the other books that go along with the War Room movie. I knew this one would be just as good. Alex and Stephen do an awesome job explain what prayer is, why they should pray, and whether or not God hears them when they pray, along with so many other great things.  The book is beautifully illustrated with lots of cute pictures and fun colors. I am so glad that they made this book for kids because I feel they really need to be equipped even at a young age to be strong in the Lord. With lots of pages in the back of the book for their specific prayer requests and concerns, it gives them a formula to follow to help them execute their prayers.
I am always amazed at how Stephen and Alex can take any subject and make it easy to understand. They have a way of explaining things that make you want to be involved and not feel overwhelmed. I will continue to look forward to their next projects and will always support them. I am so excited to see what the Lord is gonna do through this book and all of the books involved with their ministry.
I was blessed with a copy of this book by B&H Publishing in exchange for my review. A positive review was not required.

  1. I think they struggle with materialism and peer pressure. Being like every one else, having what everyone else has, fitting in.

    1. I agree. It is so hard for kids to be okay with who they are and not worry about what those around them think.

  2. Speaking with my teenager, it seems like his peers struggle most with acceptance and fitting in. Children are so smart and intuitive. Taking the time to listen and pray with and for them make such a difference.

    1. So true. I think kids have so much pressure to be like everyone else. It's so hard to just be yourself. Thank you for the comment.

  3. I think kids have a hard time trying to find a way to fit in and keep their religion without being made fun of. I also follow you on Google+ as Ashy.

    1. I agree with you also. It's so hard to live your faith and stand firm as an adult. I can't imagine being a kid right now and trying to do what's right. Thanks for following!
