Tracy Campbell never wanted to leave Hope Harbor, Oregon, or the idyllic three-generation cranberry farm where she grew up. But life--and love--altered her plans. When tragedy strikes and changes her plans yet again, she finds herself back in her hometown with a floundering farm to run and a heartbreaking secret. Romance is not on her agenda. Nor is it on Michael Hunter's. The visitor from Chicago has daunting secrets of his own. But when Tracy recruits him to help save a struggling charitable organization, the winds of change begin to sweep through Hope Harbor, bringing healing, hope, and love to countless lives--including their own.

My Thoughts
Michael came to Hope Harbor to find answers and peace. Tracy is living and running and doing and hiding the pain in her heart. Anna is the town recluse with a house full of secrets.
Can they find the answers they need? Will they find hope in Hope Harbor?
Hope Harbor had my attention right from the first chapter. The mystery element in the book was something I wasn't expecting. It was interwoven into the storyline in a way that made me want to keep reading to find out all the secrets and mysteries of each of the characters. And, oh the romance! This is the first book in a while that I have read that had a much stronger romantic element. It was sweet and a little intense at times but never in an inappropriate way.
I found myself drawn to each character in the book. Each one had their own mystery that I just had to try and figure out. I felt all the characters, even the small ones, added to the story. I would have to say out of all of the secondary characters, Charley was my favorite. Just wait, when you read it, he will be your favorite too. I thoroughly enjoyed each character.
The setting of the story was amazing. Hope Harbor is now a place I want to visit, even if it isn't a really place. I found myself drawn to the beach and the small town atmosphere. It was described wonderfully and I felt as if I was there.
I enjoyed this book immensely and can't wait to read more by Irene.
I received this book from Revell in exchange for my honest review. A positive review was not required.
