Have you ever looked into the faces of the people who call you “mom” and wondered what in the world you got yourself into?If you’re like many Christian moms today, you’ve been reading the headlines and watching the rapid-fire changes in our culture with frustration and fear. Let’s face it: Moms today are facing questions that previous generations didn’t even see coming, and even our right to determine what is best for our own children is under fire. Popular speaker and blogger Heidi St. John (The Busy Mom) believes that today’s mothers need a special kind of strength. We need to be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. We dare not rely on human strength for the battles we’re facing right now. In Becoming MomStrong, Heidi has a powerful message just for you―the mom in the midst of it all. Through encouragement, practical prayer points, and authentic “me-too” moments, Heidi equips you for a job that only you can do: to train your children to hear God’s voice and to walk in truth no matter where our culture is heading. God wants to use this generation of mothers to do something extraordinary: - To be strong in the Lord
- To know who you are in Christ, and
- To impart that strength to your kids.

Y'all I have been so excited about this book! I stumbled upon Heidi on Facebook a couple of years ago and have been following her since. She is real and speaks truth but isn't holier-than-thou. I enjoyed this book so much! I'm proud to say she is seeing the fruits of her labor on amazon and of all places, Target! Read her blog and Facebook page to find out why Target is a big deal.
Here's my Review......
Heidi St. John has a way with words. She writes in a way that makes you feel like she is sitting right next to you chatting over a cup of coffee. Reading this book I felt like she was talking about my life and my kids and my struggles. This book is the perfect companion to your regular Bible study. She gives great insight to not just the way we parent but to our spiritual life and how it affects how we parent. She backs up the things she says with scripture which is definitely a plus for me. I also liked how she listed ways to pray and scripture references after each chapter. I am thankful to Heidi for writing this fabulous help for this thing we call motherhood. I recommend this for all moms, moms-to-be, aunts, or any woman who is a mentor to children or teens. I received this book from the publisher for free. All opinions are my own. A positive review was not required.
