Happiness in marriage is not so much a matter of chance as it is a matter of choice. Choosing to be happy means choosing to think on things that are good and noble and right and lovely and pure—including your spouse’s most positive, admirable, and endearing qualities. Our marriages can’t help but benefit when we discipline ourselves to do this. That’s the purpose of this journal in a nutshell. Whether you’re writing, drawing, pasting, or coloring in it, each page, prompt, and verse is designed to help you recall and record the things you love most about your husband, to reflect on your most cherished memories, and to recognize God’s hand at work in your relationship. I pray you will be richly blessed as you meditate on God’s Word and allow it to shape your life and marriage.

Biography
Jennifer Flanders graduated from Dallas Baptist University in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. She completed two years of graduate work at SMU in the same field before she and her husband, Dr. Doug Flanders, started their family. She took her final final just two weeks before their first son was born. Since that time, the author has put her math background to good use by "staying home to multiply." (It has also come in handy as she's home schooled their twelve children, teaching counting to calculus, and everything in between).
You can read more from Jennifer by visiting her blog (http://lovinglifeathome.com) where she writes about marriage and motherhood, or by visiting the Flanders' family website (http://www.flandersfamily.info) where she shares tips on organization, saving money, home schooling, and family fun. Jennifer often speaks on the same topics to community, church, and school groups. In her "spare" time, Jennifer enjoys reading, singing, playing with her kids and grandkids, visiting with her husband, and doing a wide variety of needle crafts.

Here is what I thought.......
Jennifer has done it again! This devotional journal is beautifully designed. It has fun pictures and sayings. As well as scripture references and great questions to get you thinking. I enjoyed going through each page and looking at all the pictures and illustrations. I actually considered giving this as a gift to a newlywed I know. This devotional takes you through different aspects of your marriage. From your wedding to your children to romance and dating it helps you focus on several different things in your marriage. I liked how it helps you remember things about your dating life together and your wedding but also on the right things to focus on now. This would be a great addition to any morning devotion or something to do in the evenings before bed. It would be fabulous for you if you love those adult coloring book as well. I know that I have loved the new adult coloring book thing and this is a perfect addition to my coloring book collection. There are plenty of places to add your own thoughts and doodles or even paste pictures on some of the pages. I would recommend this for newlyweds or even as an anniversary present for someone. I received this journal from book crash and the author in exchange for an honest review. a positive review was not required.
I was wondering about this journal myself. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
