The Devotional for Women Edited by Rhonda Kelley and Dorothy Patterson

The Devotional for Women provides a solution to a problem that nearly all women have—how to be more faithful to read God’s Word and know how to apply it to their lives. It addresses this need by offering 366 daily Bible devotions for women of all ages that together form the heart of biblical womanhood. Progressing from Genesis to Revelation, content includes a strong focus on God’s Word, biblical application, and additional helps such as several options for Bible reading plans.

God’s Word is applicable to the life of every woman. Whereas many daily devotionals offer encouragement for the heart, The Devotional for Women offers that encouragement as well as biblical exposition all in a user friendly, quick read format to change lives in the every day rhythm of life.

My Thoughts
I enjoyed this devotional very much. With 366 days of short lessons, it is a quick and easy read for those who may be busy. Each lesson is very insightful, and well thought out. Each passage of scripture is used in a way to help guide women to be better wives, mothers and women. I liked this aspect of the devotional, because it made the Bible passages more personal to me. All these scriptures I had read before, I can now see how to apply them in my daily life as a woman of God. I was very impressed with the way each lesson was written. The editing was very well done and I feel the lessons are biblically sound and accurate. I am so excited to continue my journey through the scriptures with the help of this devotional. This would also make an excellent gift, whether it be to a new Christian or someone who has been a Christian for a long time.
B&H blogger program blessed me with a copy of this book in exchange for my review. A positive review was not required.
