Faith and Lettering journal/ The illustrated Word/ Illuminate Your Story Journal reviews

Hand-lettering is a Powerful Way to Grow Your Faith!

There are many ways to incorporate hand-lettering into your life, spiritually and practically. The purpose of this journal is to inspire you to reignite your devotional time, to imprint Scripture on your heart, and to help you dig deep into the Word of God through the art of lettering.
The Faith & Lettering Journal is designed to be a safe place to practice prompts, try your hand at different styles, and grow in your lettering skills. You'll practice the basics of hand-lettering, Bible journaling, sermon sketch note-taking, and have space to write about how these techniques are deepening your walk with God.
Something special happens when you slow down and take time to focus on Scripture in a creative way!

Create your own masterpiece with this journal that has forty glorious illustrations from ancient manuscripts that have been recreated as line drawings. Just as medieval monks brought Scripture to life through intricate inked illustrations in handwritten manuscripts hundreds of years ago, you can now create your own stunning keepsake that will be treasured for years to come.

Use this almost-lost art of illuminating letters to enhance your writing, Bible journaling, or sermon note-taking. Rich illustrated manuscripts in the Museum of the Bible’s collection inspired these gorgeous letters. Easy to follow instructions, practice pages, and encouragements guide you through the creation of amazing start letters, flourishes, and more.

Here is what I thought.....

Faith and Lettering Journal: This one was my favorite of the three. I love the way it teaches you different ways to letter. I think it's a great compliment to your journaling Bible. I can't wait to get myself some special no bleed markers and pens for this thing. I am excited to use this with my Bible for a great quiet time. I enjoyed that it is hard backed and seemed to be very well made. This would make an Excellent gift. Make sure you have plenty of no bleed markers and pens.

The Illustrated Word Journal: This one was my least favorite of the three. the perks are it does have a lot of space to journal in but I wasn't a big fan of the illustrations in it. It seemed very old and outdated. I do like the fact that it is hard backed and seemed to be very well made and of good quality. Be sure to use no bleed markers and pens for this one.

Illuminate Your Story Journal: I also really liked this one. It was neat in that it teaches you different ways to do each letter of the alphabet and ways to illustrate and embellish them. It was a bit different than what I thought judging by the cover and title. I also liked how it had a spot on the side for your pen. This would make a fabulous gift.

All in all these were great journals and I would recommend 2 of the 3 for gifts and personal use. I received these journals for free from Ellie Claire. A positive review was not required. all opinions are my own.
