About the Author

One of more than fifty children of infamous, polygamist cult leader, Ervil LeBaron, Anna LeBaron endured abandonment, horrific living conditions, child labor, and sexual grooming. At age thirteen, she escaped the violent cult, gave her life to Christ, and sought healing. A gifted communicator and personal growth activist, she’s passionate about helping others walk in freedom. Anna lives in the DFW Metroplex and loves being Mom to her five grown children.

I am always intrigued by non-fiction and biographies. I love to read about real people. This story intrigued me because I am always curious why people do certain things in the name of God and what they think God says and is. This story is an interesting one because Anna made it out and found the true Jesus. It is sad all the things she had to go through though.

Here is what I thought....

This story is very rough at times. I have really enjoyed parts of it and some of it is hard to read. It amazes me that a mother can allow these things to happen to her children. It also amazes me that a father could do those things in the name of God. This story is an interesting read but it takes a long time to process. I love reading the story of redemption and finding a relationship with Jesus. I'd recommend the story if you are interested in this subject. I received this book for free from Tyndale.
