Count Me In by Mikal Dawn

Allegra Spencer has been living a careful life. Her safe job as an accountant is bookended by going to church and the gym. Okay, sometimes the gym. Fine. She goes to church. And the coffee shop. She avoids risk at all cost, preferring to stay safe in her cozy condo. Until her accounting firm goes belly up and she's out of a job.

Tyler Hawk had a glorious career as a star NFL tight end. He retired on a high note and now lives a second dream of owning his own business and leading others on extreme outdoor adventures. But he needs help with his books—and his heart. When Allegra takes the job, sparks fly.

It’s a case of safety zone versus danger zone, and in their minds, never the two shall meet.

About the Author

Mikal Dawn is an inspirational romance author, wedding enthusiast and proud military wife. By day she works for an international sports ministry, and by night she mutters to imaginary friends, performs sketchy Google searches, and procrastinates (like any good writer!). When she isn't writing about faith, fun, and forever, she is obsessively scouring Pinterest (with coffee in hand, of course!) for wedding ideas for her characters.

Born and raised just outside of Vancouver, Canada, Mikal has lived throughout the southern United States, currently residing in Nebraska (and loving it!) with her husband, three kids (two of whom she drives *everywhere* for ALL THE SPORTS), and one ferocious feline.

Y'all I have always been a romantic at heart. No matter how hard I try I can't pass up a good boy meets girl, happily ever after story. When I read the synopsis for this one I knew that it was right up my alley. This one I'm happy to say is not the last I will by Mikal. I love a good romance that isn't cheesy or gushy. This one fits the bill. Read on to hear all the juicy details.

Here is what I thought......
I really loved this book. It is a very sweet romance that keeps you reading. This was the perfect thing for me to read after having read a not so great book right before this one. I loved the lightheartedness of this book. I love the sweet romance that seems real and not cheesy or gushy. The characters of Allegra and Tyler are the perfect opposites. They make for a very good opposites attract theme in the book. I also really enjoyed the side characters. The setting is perfect and the plot is fantastic. I can't wait to read the next book by Mikal. I would highly recommend it to anyone. I received this book for free from the author. A positive review was not required. All opinions are my own.
