How Do I Love Thee: A devotional journal for women-- by Jennifer Flanders

Happiness in marriage is not so much a matter of chance as it is a matter of choice. Choosing to be happy means choosing to think on things that are good and noble and right and lovely and pure—including your spouse’s most positive, admirable, and endearing qualities. Our marriages can’t help but benefit when we discipline ourselves to do this. That’s the purpose of this journal in a nutshell. Whether you’re writing, drawing, pasting, or coloring in it, each page, prompt, and verse is designed to help you recall and record the things you love most about your husband, to reflect on your most cherished memories, and to recognize God’s hand at work in your relationship. I pray you will be richly blessed as you meditate on God’s Word and allow it to shape your life and marriage.

A Cup of Dust by Susie Finkbeiner

Ten-year-old Pearl Spence is a daydreamer, playing make-believe to escape life in Oklahoma's Dust Bowl in 1935. The Spences have their share of misfortune, but as the sheriff's family, they've got more than most in this dry, desolate place. They're who the town turns to when there's a crisis or a need―and during these desperate times, there are plenty of both, even if half the town stands empty as people have packed up and moved on.
Pearl is proud of her loving, strong family, though she often wearies of tracking down her mentally impaired older sister or wrestling with her grandmother's unshakable belief in a God who Pearl just isn't sure she likes.
Then a mysterious man bent on revenge tramps into her town of Red River. Eddie is dangerous and he seems fixated on Pearl. When he reveals why he's really there and shares a shocking secret involving the whole town, dust won't be the only thing darkening Pearl's world.
While the tone is suspenseful and often poignant, the subtle humor of Pearl's voice keeps A Cup of Dust from becoming heavy-handed. Finkbeiner deftly paints a story of a family unit coming together despite fractures of distress threatening to pull them apart.

Author Interview
1. What was your favorite part of writing The Great Disneyland Scavenger Hunt?

What I love most about writing this book was seeing Disneyland again and again in different ways.
While I have been an annual pass holder for over twenty-five years, I saw the theme parks through new eyes and I have come to appreciate the details the Imagineers have put into the planning of Disneyland resort on a whole new level.

2. What is the funniest thing that has happened to you during your time at Disneyland?

One of the things I love to do when I am at Disneyland is entertain myself by interacting with guests and cast members. Many times I will stand in line for pictures with the characters. When I get have my time with Mickey Mouse or Cinderella I like to run to them, get a hug and then say, “I am so excited! I didn’t know we were see celebrities today.” The cast members laugh and the characters will react with surprise or play along with my silliness. I also love interacting with guests on the parks for the first time. It has been said that everyone is my best friend and one of my joys is to gab with people while standing in line, pointing out something they perhaps did not know or just finding out a little bit about their time in the parks.

3. What were some of the unexpected hurdles you faced while writing The Great Disneyland Scavenger Hunt?

After writing the first draft of The Great Disneyland Scavenger Hunt, I found that I had included too
much information and had to make the difficult decision what to share with my readers. This is a
tremendous challenge for me since I wanted to include everything about Disneyland and Disney’s
California Adventure but at the same time did not want to overwhelm someone visiting the Disney
resort for the first time. I feel now that I have done the theme park justice with this version but I look
forward to sharing much more with fans in the future.

4. If there were one thing you would want readers to remember about The Great Disneyland Scavenger Hunt, what would that be?

My goal in writing this book was to allow guests of Disneyland to see the magic created by Walt
Disney and his Imagineers. If my book brings the readers more joy to their time at the theme parks, I
have succeeded in my goal for writing this book. Walt Disney wanted parents and children to interact
together and I had the same goal with The Great Disneyland Scavenger Hunt. Readers will notice the
questions are broken down into one two or three stars. The one star questions are for first time visitors or families with small children. I want the kids to participate and feel like they are succeeding in finding the items within the book along with mom and dad.

If I Run by Terri Blackstock

Casey knows the truth. But it won’t set her free.
Casey Cox’s DNA is all over the crime scene. There’s no use talking to police; they’ve failed her abysmally before. She has to flee before she’s arrested . . . or worse. The truth doesn’t matter anymore.
But what is the truthThat’s the question haunting Dylan Roberts, the war-weary veteran hired to find Casey. PTSD has marked him damaged goods, but bringing Casey back can redeem him. Though the crime scene seems to tell the whole story, details of the murder aren’t adding up.
Casey Cox doesn’t fit the profile of a killer. But are Dylan’s skewed perceptions keeping him from being objective? If she isn’t guilty, why did she run?
Unraveling her past and the evidence that condemns her will take more time than he has, but as Dylan’s damaged soul intersects with hers, he is faced with two choices: the girl who occupies his every thought is a psychopathic killer . . . or a selfless hero. And the truth could be the most deadly weapon yet.
