Tuesday Tidbits

It has been a while since I posted one of these. I have had a whole lot going on for the past 2 months. I have made a huge move to Mississippi, we have been remodeling a house that we bought and we decided to enroll our girls in school this year instead of homeschooling.

Needless to say my plate is full!

Tuesday Tidbits--Rating System

Hey Y'all! I have decided to do a rating system on the books I read. So, starting this week, you will see at the bottom of each post:

1. a star rating

2. a letter rating (ie. G/PG)

3. Teen approved rating

4. explicit/adult content rating

I wanted to add a little something different to the blog. We will see how this goes.

Tuesday Tidbits

Ok I know I have been slacking on my Tuesday Tidbits the last couple of weeks. I have had a ton of things going on the last few weeks.

We are in the process of moving so my husband and I took a trip to look at houses.

Spring has officially sprung in our neck of the woods so that means it's softball time!

My girls play every year so this time of year is very busy.

I have been working to try and get some books read and I have just finished an amazing book I will be reviewing tomorrow.

Tuesday Tidbits

Hello Everybody!

Another busy week has been had around here. There has been sickness in my house and so again this week the reading has been slow. Slowly but surely these awesome books I have been reading will be reviewed for you.

Tuesday Tidbits on Wednesday

I know, I know, this is supposed to be a Tuesday thing but yesterday kind of got away from me.

This week has been fairly quiet as far as interesting things go. We had some work done on our vehicles this past week. Just some standard maintenance.

I spent some time with my youngest brother this weekend since he was in town.

The biggest and busiest day was yesterday! Thus, my late post.

We had our homeschool group yesterday, my oldest daughter had archery with her 4-H group and I had band practice with the Bluegrass band I've been invited to join. So yesterday was jam packed.

Tuesday Tidbits

So I'm a tad bit late on my post this evening.

Another busy week has been had again! School and normal everyday stuff plus a fun mommy-daughter date night on Saturday. Then, of course the Super Bowl!

So, Saturday my girls and I went with a church group to an amazingly fun, just for girls outing. We went to an event called Secret Keeper Girl. This event is for girls ages 8-12 and focuses on modesty, purity, self worth and being unique in todays be like everybody else culture.

Tuesday Tidbits

Man! What a week! Nothing stressful this week just lots and lots of fun. Almost too much fun. Last week I went and auditioned for a blue grass band. Talk about a super good time. I had so much fun fellowshiping and singing with a great group of people. Then, on Saturday my girls and I spent some time with our good friends at the park here in our little town. That was a lot of fun since our weather here has been amazingly beautiful and warm.

Sunday was of course church and then my husband sprung a surprise on me and our two girls. We took them to a water park resort here in Tennessee called the Wilderness at the Smokies.  If you've never taken your kids there you should. It's a lot of fun even in winter with an indoor water park that has four different water slides, a wave pool, a regular pool, a jungle gym kid area and an indoor outdoor hot tub. Plus during the summer they have two large outdoor parks as well.

We only stayed one night but that was enough. The girls played and played. We had a hard time getting them to leave. But of course I also had to do some shopping! You can't go to Pigeon Forge and not go shopping! All in all it was am awesome week. I have been steadily reading but hit a snag with one of my books and got bored. Oh no! So I'm a little behind. When am I not?! I  have finished Whispers in the Reading Room and am plugging away at the next few on my list.

This one will be reviewed on February 7th. So come back and check it out.

This one is really good so far. I'm hoping to have it done soon.

This is a somewhat controversial subject matter, but so far this book is very interesting.

Tuesday Tidbits

So this week has been an interesting week here in my neck of the woods.

We had our share of snow from super storm Jonah. Although I must say I was disappointed we didn't get a little more than we got.

Tuesday Tidbits

This week has most definitely flown by for some reason. I most certainly don't feel like I got all the reading done that I needed to, but I am working on some other projects that have been taking up my reading time.

I am finishing a quilt my late mother in law was crocheting for me. I am excited to say after going through the pattern book and checking the quilt, I only have a few more pieces to make for it to be finished. Even though it doesn't have anything to do with reading, I may show y'all a picture once it is finished.

With all that being said, I am now trying to catch up on my reading. I am absolutely in love with the book I am currently reading.

This book is fabulous! I am completely taken by this book. I actually must say I was surprised at how much I am liking it. But enough about that. I'll have my review soon.

Tuesday Tidbits

Really quickly this morning I wanted to update everybody on what all I'm reading within the next few weeks, so you can have something to look forward too!

I have really loved about half of the books I have read so far in 2016 HA!

One in particular was a big disappointment. Mainly because of the publisher. (I think I might actually do a blog post later on what I have found with certain publishers in the past year.)
